Tutorial - Using the "quick locator"

Most lists have “quick locators” in the lower left hand corner. These allow you to locate the nearest match of the primary field in the current order (eg. If you are looking at a list in artist order, you would be locating the nearest matching artist).

-      If the list has been selected, being typing to automatically locate the nearest match. For example, type “SPRI” to locate “Springsteen, Bruce”. You do not have to press the tab key to begin locating; locating occurs as you type.

-      If the locator itself is selected, type in the first few characters for the item you wish to match, and press the tab key on the keyboard.

If you do not enter any characters for a period of time, the locator will automatically clear itself. This will not change your location in the list.
