\"Show window contents while dragging\" changes

Postby Cactus Jack » Wed Sep 22, 2010 5:48 am

I use Passwords Max v5.13 5024, under Windows XP SP3. I prefer to enable the Windows \"Effects\" setting \"Show window contents while dragging.\" When PM runs, it resets this setting, so that when I drag a window, it changes to an outline only; no contents. SOMETIMES when I exit PM, the setting is restored; other times, I have to go into Display Properties and reselect \"Show window contents while dragging\". This DOES happen on more than one computer.

Is there anything I can do in PM to prevent it from modifying that setting? Or is this a bug in PM?

Thanks,
Jack

The current version probably has different behaviour anyway as it uses Clarion 7 rather than 6, but even 5.13 does not change any Windows settings.

So, any idea what IS changing the Windows setting when I launch PM? Maybe some Windows dll code that PM depends on?

Thanks,
Jack

That seems unlikely as well...
