Fatal Error Opening Database

Postby CHooper » Wed Nov 02, 2011 11:16 am

We're using Passwords Max for Groups 5.78 (build 5784) and have recently begun getting an error on one database when the users connect remotely. The error is:

FM3: Unable to open the file. Errorcode 90 received. Are you sure your Connection details are correct?
Name: LBPMDATA\!PasswordFormFieldd

We're offered two options abort and Ignore. Both get the same result -nothing.

When I try to access my own database remotely, it works. When I try any database from an RDP session ont eh server, I get the error above.

How can I recover the database? Please tell me I can reciver the database.

Normally an error code 90 indicates some form of corruption. Once you have restored to a working backup, ensure that the server data folder is excluded from anti-virus scanning, as the file locks involved can cause corruption.

Unfortunately, due to an oversight, we don't have a backup. Is there any way to recover?

I would double-check that a backup was never made during a version upgrade...
