MiscOneApplicationInstance error

Postby Ian Cook » Wed Aug 02, 2006 9:16 pm

Hi,
If possible, can you please help me.

I am trying to get the MiscOneApplicationInstance to work.

When I try to run the application a second time the following error message comes up..

You can download a small test application that demonstrates the error
from http://www.kirbyfooty.com/oneinstancetestapp.zip

I am using clarion 6.3 build 9050 on windows xp pro.

If you need any other information please let me know.

Kind regards
Ian Cook

A bit more information...

I posted the test app onto the softvelocity newsgroup.
A guy name Jack Wilson replied with the following information.

Anyway, I added Capesoft's GPF reporter to your app, and compiled in debug
mode--it pointed to the following as where the crash occurs:

This program has performed an illegal operation and will now end.

IANTEBC0:DctKill PROCEDURE

_Hide:Relate:customer.Kill !this is line 42 in IANTEBC0.CLW
DISPOSE(_Hide:Relate:customer)

If you comment-out line 42 above and regenerate, the gpf disappears.

Maybe this will help Vince or somebody else--I wonder if it is a bug when you
have just one file without any relations--just a guess.

It certainly sounds like good information. Unfortunately I don't have sufficient knowledge to fix it.

Ian
PS. Altough the test app only had one file with no relations, my original app had several files with relations etc.
