Create SysHotKeyClass

Postby dault » Fri Sep 22, 2006 11:40 am

I am trying to create a system wide hotkey that will work even when my app does not have focus. When I compile and run the app using the Create SysHotKeyClass template, I get the following error: Assertion failed on line: 195 in file VSA_HOT.CLW. Shall I GPF?

1. In the Global Included I have added the Create SysHotKeyClass template using the default vSHK name for the class

2. Added the following code to the WindowEventHandling: (OpenWindow) embedd on my main window which is an SDI.
vSHK.AddKey(F8Key)
vSHK.Activate()

Clarion 6.3 9054
Windows XP SP2

Thanks in advance. Dave

The templates in the \"ABCFreeClasses\" template chain are generic wrappers around the ABC Free classes; you must do the initialization and uninitialization yourself.

Use the API: System-wide Hot Keys template from the \"ABCFree\" template chain instead.
