Dear Vince,
some weeks ago MusiFind started to behave strange. I prefer having the MusiFind-window at full screen size. But every time I enter a new album or edit one, MusiFind returns to a medium sized window. I can't make the program stick to full size windows.
Do you have an explanation for this?
Regards from Germany,
Ulrich

Windows sizes and positions are saved and restored; if a window was previously closed when it was not maximized, it will be restored that way when it is re-opened.

At a given point in time, all MDI windows must be either maximized or not, so opening one that is not will cause the rest to also change.

I know this post of yours is from last year, and I don't know if you're using MFP version 4.08.nnnn or 4.09.nnnn.

However I just this week upgraded to 4.10.4040, and noticed what I believe is the same exact problem you were reporting last year. Open the program (in full-screen), default "Albums" view visible by default (in full-screen), double-click on an album to enter edit mode (in full-screen) on that album, end that album edit session by clicking on OK or CANCEL and return back to the "Albums" view... which we both (you and me) expected to still be in full-screen mode.

Unfortunately, the re-presented "Albums" view was NOT in full-screen mode with 4.10.4040 for me, but was in fact in a window (medium sized, as you describe). This was not the program behavior with the 4.08.4030 I had previously been using, but obviously was the new program behavior with 4.10.4040.

I, too, did NOT want this to happen and considered it a defect in 4.10.4040.

I've been working with Vince on this issue in the newly released 4.10 version of MFP for a few days now.

I'm happy (no... THRILLED!) to report that this has now been corrected.

In the latest available 4.10.4043 build (re-download it, or upgrade to it if you're not yet on 4.10) the program's behavior is now exactly as it used to be, and as we want. When you exit album edit with OK/CANCEL, you are now back with "Albums" view re-presented... and it is once again in full-screen as it should be.

Thanks to Vince for making this revision so quickly.

And I think this may be the precise solution to the problem you reported last August, if I interpret your question correctly.
