I just upgraded to PM 5.6 Build 5560. After I launch it, the inner window buttons do not work. I can use the 'Window->Tile' menu item to expand the inner window to fill the space, but I cannot maximize it, minimize it, or close it using the windows control buttons on the inner window upper right corner.

I tried doing a 'Window->Reset saved window...' reset, but that only rearranged the columns. It did not fix the broken window buttons.

Any ideas how to fix this?

System is Windows XP SP2 with almost all of the MS patches applied.

Try removing the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Author Direct\Passwords Max\Settings\Runtime ...

Removing that key hierarchy did the trick. All the inner window buttons now work as they should.
