PMax for Groups v5.51 - I installed the web module today and finally figured out how to get certificates generated and installed on a Windows server.

After I access the web module via Internet Explorer 7 and login to PMax, I get an initial page of passwords. When I click on the Next button, I see the animated circle icon indicating it should be trying to load the next page, but the next page never loads.

I added my server to the Trusted Sites in IE7 but this does not help.

I tested from FireFox 3.x on Windows and Mac OS X - both systems worked fine so it appears to be an IE7-based issue.

Which build of 5.51 (eg. 5.51.5510) do you have installed?

Build 5511 is the latest. I've uploaded to the web site.

If you have this IE security setting for the security zone you're loading PMG from:

http://www.passwordsmax.com/images/JavaPermissions.png

This should be set to "Medium Safety".

Thanks Vince. I don't see those settings in IE7. I will try the newer build when it is available.

I updated the app and web modules to the latest 5511 bulid but I still see the same issue with IE7. Please let me know if there is any data you need me to gather to troubleshoot.

I'm assuming that you see a "script error" on the IE status bar towards the lower left.

Do you have the latest version of Java installed? Anything else that might be interfering with Java?

I do not see any java or web page script error in IE. For IE tools that do use Java, normally I get the little Java icon in the system tray - I do not see the system activating Java when this web page loads or tries to go to the next page.

My system has Sun Java JRE 5.0 Update 17 (sometimes called Java 1.5). What version of Java does the web page expect to be installed? Do you have IE7 installed where you can test this on your system? I have tried this on three different systems with IE7 and Java 1.5.17 - all seem to work fine viewing passwords, logging in, etc. - they just can't get to the next page of passwords after the initial page is displayed.

I've confirmed that this is a bug in the third party library we're using; a fix is supposed to be available shortly.

Build 5514 fixed the inability to use the Next and Previous page buttons. I was able to insert a new record, and use Search to find it.

The only thing I found not working was the Copy Button. When I click on the Copy Button I see the page updating saying the password has been placed on the clipboard, but the existing text in the clipboard is not actually replaced (still contains the old contents). I see this behaviour in IE7 on both Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.

In Options, Web, are you using the Adobe Flash or IE method of copying to the clipboard?

I changed from Flash to Java - this worked after I restarted the Web Server service. It is your experience that Java will work with IE, but Flash will not?

As a thought, couldn't the web page change methods based on the reported version of the browser connecting to the server?
