Show Schedule at Startup - When checked, the View Schedule window is displayed whenever Schedule Wizard is started.
Show Full Schedule Initially - When the View Schedule window is opened, the display may show either the schedule for a single day, or the complete schedule. Check this for the latter. There is also an option to show only active tasks (not completed and not disabled).
Only show active tasks initially - When checked, the View Schedule window initially displays only tasks that are not completed or disabled. To switch views, click the right mouse button on the schedule view, and select Show All or Show Active Only.
Show To Do List at Startup - When checked, the To-Do List window is displayed whenever Schedule Wizard is started.
Show Contacts at Startup - When checked, the View Contacts window is displayed whenever Schedule Wizard is started.
Show Clipboard Saver at Startup - When checked, the Clipboard Saver window is displayed whenever Schedule Wizard is started.
Minimize at Startup - When checked, Schedule Wizard starts up as an icon on the taskbar. Note: You should keep your Windows shortcut start up mode as normal rather than changing it to minimized.
Do not show splash screen at start up - When checked, Schedule Wizard starts up without displaying its logo.
Scheduler Active - When checked, the schedule is followed (programs are executed and messages are displayed). This should only be unchecked when you do not wish Schedule Wizard to follow the schedule, such as when you are making mass updates to the Schedule, or when you are running the Schedule Wizard NT Service.
Date Format to Use - Select a date format to be used on all screens and reports. The change will take effect the next time Schedule Wizard is started or a specific window is opened.
Do Not Place in Tray when Minimized (32-bit version only) - When Schedule Wizard is minimized, the default behavior is to place an icon in the System Tray on the taskbar and remove Schedule Wizard from the list of program on the taskbar. Check this to leave Schedule Wizard on the list of programs, and not place an icon in the System Tray.
Minimize to System Tray Instead of Exiting (32-bit version only) - When File->Exit is selected, or the X icon in the upper right-hand corner is pressed, Schedule Wizard normally closes. Click this to have Schedule Wizard minimize instead.
Restore for Run Program tasks - When Schedule Wizard is minimized (iconized) and a task involving a message is due to be executed, it will restore itself to a normal size (de-iconize) so that you can see the message that are displayed. You can also optionally have Schedule Wizard restore itself to a normal size when a Run Program task is to be executed by checking this item. (This was the default behaviour in version 1.3a and in earlier versions).
Use Alternate Format for List of Scheduled Tasks Two formats are available for the list of scheduled tasks the standard tabbed format, and an alternative that provides active filters.
Hide Toolbar If you do not want the toolbar to appear at startup, check this box.

Use External Message Program - Messages are displayed using an external program (SWMSG.EXE) started in a separate process. Uncheck this to display messages using the internal Schedule Wizard message windows.
Use Stay on Top attribute - Messages are displayed using an always on top attribute.
Repeat Alarms Every # of Seconds - When a message is displayed that includes an alarm, you can have the alarm repeat at a specific interval until that message is acknowledged. Remember that shorter WAV files will use fewer system resources. Enter 0 to not repeat.
Snooze Interval - When a message is displayed that includes an alarm, you can press a Snooze button to have the message re-displayed after 10 minutes. If you wish to use an interval other than 10 minutes, enter it here, or right-click on the message when it is displayed (external message program only).

Remove Completed Tasks after X Days - After a task has been completed (a program has been run, or a message has been displayed), a copy is retained for history-tracking purposes. After a set number of days, the history copy is removed. Set this to 0 days to disable the removal of history-tracking records. As well, you may optionally remove disabled and uncompleted tasks. WARNING: If you have many tasks that execute every hour (or more often), and you disable the removal of history records, your schedule database can become very large.
Log Events - When checked, a ASCII text file named SWEVENT.LOG is updated whenever tasks are executed by Schedule Wizard. This is an excellent way to monitor usage, and to debug scripting.
Use standard NT event log- When checked, events are written to the standard NT event log. Applies to the NT Service module only.
Log Exit Codes Launched programs are monitored, and when they are finished their exit codes are logged in the ASCII event log (see above).
Maximum Log Size - When checked, the log will be checked daily to see if its size exceeds the number of bytes you enter here. If it exceeds it, the log will be re-written, retaining the most recent 95% of its contents.

Scripting - Send Interval/Maximum Number of Characters - These settings allow you to adjust the speed at which characters are sent to other applications in scripting. Some applications cannot receive information as fast as Schedule Wizard can send it. Use the default settings for safe keystroke sending to most applications.
Save script information on completed tasks When a task is completed, it is flagged as completed, and the script information removed. If you would like to keep the script information (so that it can be used if you re-enable or copy the completed task), check this box.
Translate values when starting a program Schedule Wizard supports the use of variables or values in many of the script actions. To maintain backward compatibility, the Start Program script action does not by default use these values. If you would like to have the contents of the filename, path and parameter settings examined for values, check this box.
Example: If Start Program: C:\NOTEPAD [DATE].TXT is executed on November 4, 2000, and Translate values
is checked, Notepad is started and the document 20001104.TXT is loaded. If it is not checked, [DATE].TXT is loaded.
The other script actions are unaffected by this switch. For example, Display Message will always show as of [TODAY] as as of 11/04/2000 (if thats the date, in the standard Windows format). Individual Start Program script actions may override this switch using an option in the advanced settings.
Exclude hidden windows in comparisons and lists Windows applications often create hidden windows that you may or may not wish to access or have detected. This is normally only a problem when applications create hidden windows with the exact same name as visible windows. If you do not want invisible windows included in drop-down window title selection lists or when Schedule Wizards is trying to locate a window with a specific title, check this box. Tip: The Application Explorer program included in the Automation Edition can help you see the hidden windows that exist on your system.
Start each 16-bit in a new process Applies to Windows NT/2000 systems only. Starts 16-bit applications in their own process space.

Monitor Clipboard - The Windows clipboard (text only) is monitored (examined once every 5 seconds). Whenever the contents change, a copy is stored in the Clipboard Saver database. By default, up to 50 entries are stored (the oldest are deleted when the database is filled) by default. Set the Maximum # of Clipboard Entries to 0 to indicate that entries should not be removed (unlimited entries). You can also indicate that certain entries should never be removed, even when there is a limit on the # of Clipboard Entries. See The Clipboard Saver.
NOTE: If you are using the Deluxe or Automation Edition, the Use external Clipboard Manager box should be checked. This causes the Clipboard Manager to monitor the clipboard, rather than the main Schedule Wizard module.

E-mail If you will be using the Send E-mail option in Scripting, you must enter your name, (valid) e-mail address, and mail host. Use the Test Settings button to send a test message to yourself.
By default, Schedule Wizard uses an internal e-mail function to send your messages. If you wish to have Schedule Wizard use Windows Messaging, Outlook, Outlook Express, or other MAPI-compliant applications, check the Use MAPI checkbox and optionally fill in a name and password combination that matches a profile existing in your default MAPI application. If your MAPI application has a default account that does not require a password, you may leave these fields blank.

News If you will be sending news articles, enter your return e-mail address, name, and the address of your news server. If your news server requires authentication, enter your news server user name and password.
Security If you do not wish to allow access to schedule maintenance functions, and the basic options window, check the System Locked box, and enter a password. Re-enter the same password into the Confirm Password field you will not be able to save your option changes until the two passwords match.
When the system is locked, the password must be entered each time that a task is to be added, changed, or deleted. When you enter the password, you may optionally check the Unlock System for Session box this allows you to make multiple additions/changes/deletions without having to enter the password each time. When you close or minimize Schedule Wizard, the session is considered to have ended, and the system is re-locked.
NOTE: Access to the Options window also requires the system password when the system is locked.

Housekeeping - Press these buttons to clear tasks, settings, or the to do list, or perform other rare housekeeping tasks. This option has moved to File->Setup->Housekeeping on the main menu.
